The story

The handmade baskets from Malawi have a beautiful and warm appearance, they are woven with authentic weaving patterns with a rich sense of cultural traditions. This art of authentic weaving is passed on from generation to generation. Weaving a traditional basket takes about 3 to 5 days for a craftsman to create a basket. The baskets from Malawi often have vibrant colors and intricate patterns, making them not only functional but also serving as decorative items. These baskets are often used for various purposes, such as carrying food, storing goods, or purely as decorative elements in the home.

We work directly with producers from Malawi, who are small-scale farmers organized in a local cooperative. For example, in the past period after the harvest season, we have provided 40 farmers with extra work and income. In this way we ensure the maintenance of the prosperity chain and provide local artisans with a sustainable income to support their families, while their cultural heritage is preserved.

By buying baskets from Malawi, you not only get a beautiful product, but you also contribute to the economic well-being of Malawi farmers.
